”Avery Leigh Cox, 24, has been a junior designer for the past year at Amanda Nisbet Design and helped install the frisky bedroom the firm designed for the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, on display through May 26. Ms. Cox graduated with a B.F.A. in interior design from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia and moved to New York from Dallas, her hometown, in 2009. She scraped along through a couple of unpaid internships before joining Nisbet and lives in Greenwich Village, where she customized her apartment by painting its brick fireplace hot pink.”
