Avery Cox Design is a Texas-based interior design studio focusing on luxury residential and hospitality projects. We craft thoughtful custom interiors with a spirit of warmth, playfulness, and theatricality.

Known for our lively use of color and artistic approach to space, we continue to draw clients who seek our original brand of nostalgic modernism. Always rooted in function and classic design principles, we aim to create spaces that patina and that will feel timeless. 

A hallmark of our style is the incorporation of family heirlooms and antiques and that we delight in working with artistic or historical architecture. We believe the best spaces feel collected, layered, and representative of a full life.

With projects spanning from Wyoming, Texas, Vermont, Maine and beyond—we are interested in designing private residences, restaurants, bars, small hotels, or any place you might like to sit and enjoy a beverage. 

Every space we design has its own voice, incorporating bespoke design, inventive schemes, and curated products. We hope to be the conduit for your brand voice whether personal or corporate.

Avery Cox
Principal Designer & Founder

Avery Cox is an Austin-based interior designer—born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Avery has been surrounded by art and architecture her whole life. Developing her artistic eye early on through the lens of her mother’s too short but prolific creative life and painting career, she has always had a unique way of seeing color and space.

After studying interior design at the University of Georgia, Avery moved to New York City and worked for some east coast greats before moving back to Austin in 2016 and founding Avery Cox Design.

While living in Maine in her mid-20’s Avery took a break from design to pursue her other passion- the craft food and beverage industry. The technical, humble, and expressive nature of recipe creation and service helped reshape her understanding of creativity and hospitality and is something Avery Cox Design values as a company through their support and involvement in local businesses, partnerships, and always having the best coffee set up in the office or a funky bottle of natural wine on hand.

ACD Associates

  • Jillian has been with ACD since 2019, leaving Austin's advertising industry for the world of interiors. A northern California native, Jillian excels at bringing texture, layers, and a relaxed scale to every client's project. She's inspired by the innovative use of color, thoughtful architectural details, and every type of tableware. Jillian resides in Austin, where she brings her warm personality—and occasionally her happy german shepherd—to the ACD offices.

  • Caroline hails from here in Austin, but has spent much of her design career in Los Angeles, with a quick stint on the Atlanta design scene. Bringing a breadth of sensibility and a honed eye, Caroline’s fresh ideas and attention to detail allows ACD to continue to produce innovative and beautifully curated work. Her joyful demeanor makes her a delight to work with daily—having her doodle puppy around doesn't hurt.
