Book Review: Wanderlust –– Interiors that Bring the World Home

By Lauren Brackett

Michelle Nussbaumer’s first book, Wanderlust, is filled with her exquisite and unique interiors, inspired by her world travels. From a young age, she was surrounded by art, antiques, and crazy treasures thanks to her mother and two grandmothers. The influence it had on her can be seen in the way she uses color, texture, and diverse cultural elements in all aspects of design. Hutton Wilkinson said, “to the uninitiated or the faint of heart the results can at first appear alarming, unconventional, or even bizarre,” but when you take everything in, you start to understand why she is regarded as one of the world’s greatest designers.
